Canine Good Citizen Dog Prep.
Canine Good Citizen is a 10-skill test that teaches good manners to dogs and responsible dog ownership to their owners. The foundation skills have been taught at Pawsitive Attitudes in all classes beginning with your first Puppy or Beginner class through Intermediate!
CGC is open to all dogs–purebred and mixed breeds. There are no age minimums or limits for participating in the Canine Good Citizen program. By training in CGC, you and your dog will deepen your bond and become a more connected team. Once completed you and your dog will be eligible for the AKC Community CGC and AKC Urban CGC testing.
The CGC program also lays the groundwork for a great Therapy Dog!

NEW ADVANCED CGC class - Don't stop with the CGC title! Community Canine and URBAN CGC preparation and testing!!!
Join the Saturday training walks and Advanced CGC testing will be held with the final class for an additional $15. DOG must have CGC to be eligible for advanced CGC testing
Note: Please arrive ten minutes early to fill out paperwork. You must bring current shot records. All puppies must have their first set, second set, and Bordetella vaccines to attend.
Therapy Dog Prep.
Dogs who work with a handler to provide affection and comfort to members of the public are called therapy dogs. Examples include helping children to read at libraries or schools, visiting hospital patients, and visiting nursing home residents. Unlike service dogs, therapy dogs have no special rights and must obtain permission to enter public places.
Our Therapy Dog Prep class covers common animal-assisted therapy scenarios and will set you and your dog up for success in a public setting. We also review obedience skills, work through desensitization exercises, and provide opportunities to shadow active therapy dog teams in the community.
